Men’s Health
We believe that men’s health is important here at Inglis Medical.
It is recommended that all men over the age of 45 years attend annually for a check-up, particularly if there is a family history of prostate disease, diabetes, cancer or heart disease. An appointment can be made for this by contacting reception. An appointment with the nurse and doctor will be necessary for this health check.
Children
Our GP’s at Inglis Medical Centre care for children of all ages from birth onwards. We provide 6 week postnatal check-ups for mothers and babies. We encourage you to bring your baby’s Green Health and Development Book to keep up to date on growth patterns and to record immunisations.
Reminder Systems
We are proactive in helping patients with chronic disease manage their health, thereby improving their quality of life. Reminder letters inform the patient when their care plans and health assessments are due.
This service reduces the anxiety trying to schedule and remember the many different services now available to them. The reminder system also goes towards being proactive in preventative health by recalling them regularly for ECG, spirometry and pathology eg. HBA1C.
File reminder flags prompt receptionists and clinical staff alike to ensure patients are booking appointments and following up on suggested initiatives.
