Dr Yousuf Ahmad
Dr Yousuf Ahmad is one of the five Directors of Inglis Medical Centre.
His qualifications include MBBS, BSc, Diploma in Health Services Management, Graduate Certificate in Clinical Simulation, Graduate Certificate in Medical Acupuncture, Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Fellow of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
He has been in the medical field for the last 27 years. Dr Ahmad has been working as a General Practitioner in Sale since 2003
After graduating, Dr Ahmad worked in the Accident and Emergency Department of a tertiary hospital. He spent 8 years in Southern Africa working as a procedural generalist, including obstetrics and anaesthesia practice. He is accredited to perform diving medical examinations, for recreational, professional or occupational divers.
Dr Ahmad’s medical interests include chronic disease management, medical acupuncture, mental health and surgical procedures. He also has a strong passion for medical education, he is a GP training supervisor and a mentor for the John Flynn Placement Program.
Dr Ahmad is also involved in the governance of several Not-for-Profit organisations. He is a Board member for Rural WorkForce Agency, Victoria an organisation that provides support for the recruitment and retention of rural general practitioners in Victoria. Dr Ahmad is also a Board member for the Victorian faculty of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Other than medicine he enjoys sports including hockey, Tennis and Cricket.
