Mental Health Social Worker

Lucy Van Sambeek is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with more than 15 year’s experience in remote communities of the Northern Territory and rural NSW. Lucy has walked alongside women, men, children, families and communities who have been touched by the effects of domestic and family violence, child abuse, deep transgenerational grief and loss, alcohol and drugs, trauma and other mental health challenges. Lucy offers the outdoors as a meeting place to unearth people’s stories, their strengths and their own solutions to life’s problems. She has a special interest in the impacts of climate change on the health and well-being of people and the planet. In her spare time, Lucy is a passionate permaculture gardener, artist and bushwalker.
